The United States welcomes Thailand’s timely notification of tariff-rate quota (TRQ) administration measures and imports within the TRQs. Does the Government of Thailand have any domestic purchase requirements as a condition for importers to receive permission to import under tariff-rate quotas for soybeans, soybean meal, fresh potatoes, and non-fat dry milk? If so, please provide a copy of the written measure and describe how the requirements are administered.

The Thai government has no domestic purchase requirements for the importation under TRQs for soybeans, soybean meal, fresh potatoes, and non-fat dry milk. According to statistics Thailand has expanded its importation of the abovementioned products above its obligations under the WTO.
